The 385099K (“NEW STYLE” P6 Bending Section kit) should only be used on URF-P6/P6R® fiberscopes that have been purchased new or been replaced by Olympus® since their January 17, 2018 recall letter for Urgent Medical Device Removal Action. URF-P6/P6R® fiberscopes that have been purchased new or were replaced under Olympus’ recall will contain a “3” or greater as the 3rd digit of the serial number. Only those fiberscopes with a serial number where the 3rd digit is equal to or greater than a “3” should use this kit.
